So yesterday (Valentine's Day) I finally got the bow I dreamt of since I was 11 years old.
It's nothing special and has remained basically the same since its original release in the 60's.
It's a Bear Super Magnum 48.
A 48" AMO recurve bow.
Mine is rated at 55#.
I've had it less than 24 hours but so far I'm in love .
A big upgrade from all my other bows.
Can't wait to take her hunting once I get used to it.
She's also real perrrrttty.

what is AMO?
48" really short, nice. 8-)

An old (late 90s) takedown recurve 68"amo 38#.
An even older 52" kids takedown approx 25-30#.
And a primitive self bow I made from Robinia pseudoacacia . Approximately 50" and 50# at 17" draw.

Amo is archery manufacturer organisation , a standardised way of measuring bow dimensions.
