Title: Tracking and measuring a whip - inspiration?
Post by Zamorskym on Jan 6th, 2019 at 12:11pm
Hello everyone.
In the New year 2019 I found this interesting video of a bloke who decided to film and measure the whip movement and speed. Would it be worth contacting himto seed a thoght of trying it with a sling and really skilled slinger? High speed bullets tracked on their way to a target, slinging techniques and movement of a sling would and so on. Imagine it.  :o

Really cool.

I would absolutely love to see that level of analysis of slinging.

I don't understand Spanish but I'm assuming that is 52m per second ?? Wonder what weight the stones are , pretty impressive, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

The segment comes from Episode 5 of 'History of Weapons', A show which premiered on the 'History' channel recently.

Mersa is correct because in the English version they say the same speed. I believe that the stones were around ~200 grams.

In other words that is about ~270J... Woe betide the man on the otherside.
