Here it is:

it has been found in Populonia, close to Livorno, Tuscany, together with some 470 lead glans and two other trees raising the total to some 500 glans.
They all have been found inside the sector "le Logge", an ancient villa.
Excavators say these glans have been produced there during the civil war of the 1st century b.C. and never used, because the war was lost, the surroundings felt under control of the Romans, and Populonia almost abandoned in the following years.

In a few thousands years, they find depleted uranium ammunition... I just wonder who "they" will be ;-)

I'm not sure I understood the question, but excavators think these ammo were melted in place and stored for a possible use during the civil war.
Fact is, people in the Logge villa were unable to use these weapons because the war ended, they lose and their villa was subsequently abandoned. That's why they found all these trees and lead glans still in place :)

I think the question is : will the trees go to a museum, will they be melted, will they get auctioned, given to the poors...

They will stay in some hidden, cold and wet storehouse for the next 30 years.
They will then be moved to the restoration lab waiting to be restored, which will take another ten years.
Once they're restored they'll be put in the storehouse again for the following xxxxx years.
Then some student will decide to graduate on lead glans and will find them under a pile of dusty amphorae and marble arms and feet.
The student will analyse them and after a while Fry from Futurama will come and use them as propeller for his spaceship.
No mortals will be allowed to see them meanwhile.
