Most forums I am on have an "active topics" icon at the top of all forum pages that brings up all the threads posted in within a set period of time (a week generally).

I would love to see one here.

You can see the X new posts with a form on the bottom of the index page :)

check your user control panel - might be something in there to help.

I haven't seen anything in the forum control panel that shows list of active topics though.

And unless it's essential I'm currently not messing with the templates :-)
