Title: Seven Ages of Britain
Post by David Morningstar on Jul 18th, 2009 at 10:54am
Just now I was watching the TV program "Seven Ages of Britain" http://www.locatetv.com/tv/seven-ages-of-britain/454789

It was talking about the hill fort of Danebury where 11,000 sling stones and fired clay sling bullets were found, and it showed both types. The stones were oval pebbles 2 inches long (three fingers of the presenters hand) and the clay bullets were the same size and shape, not very pointy, more eggy.

There was a quick shot of an actor helicoptering with a sling, but his throw was rubbish because he winding up too far forward.

What makes this extra cool is I was making clay sling bullets in front of the TV when it came on!
