Title: Rock Holders, Split VS Leather
Post by Alan on Apr 5th, 2004 at 11:23pm
;D I've become very addicted to making slings.  I have made 3 braided ones and one leather.  (1 for my bro also)  I was wondering which is better.  Leather seems better for smaller ammo....

Some people drive chevrolets, some fords.  They both work fine, they just look different.  You don't drive a jeep like a miata, and slings will behave somewhat differntly, but each type will still get the job done.

What really matters is the quality of the sling.  Good sling = good slinging; poor sling = poor slinging.

I've started using the lovelock style more.  I was surprised by how small my ammo could be without falling through.  The straps just don't open as far for smaller ammo.

I agree Hobb.  so long as you don't rotate the sling too much, then the ammo won't fall through.  Most of my slings are split, only one leather.
